Marathon Training: Week 1, Day 2

Distance: 1.5 miles

Average Pace: 12:00 minute mile

Feeling: Refreshed

Comments: This was my first run in a few weeks, but in reality, I’ve been on a running hiatus since the middle of January.  Slow and steady was the name of the game today (and it will be this entire week while I get my running highs back).  I think my body anxiously anticipated the run this morning.  I tossed and turned for a good hour before my 5:45am alarm sounded. And while I would have much rather slept more, my mood changed when I put on my running clothes.  The run felt easier than I expected after being out of the game for too long.  Let the routine begin…
